Another Pauline emphasis is Sola Fide (while it was really the Reformation that supercharged this, they base their views on Paul), you just have to have faith, righteous behavior is not nearly as important. The mass murderer that accepts Jesus on his death bed and goes to heaven, but the Buddhist who helped many people in need goes to Hell.
To be fair, when Paul claimed he thought the world was about to end and that he would soon see Jesus returning, he had no way of knowing he was building a new religion on that.

That's ok beat them over the head with their own personal brand of insanity. Someday humanism will replace religion. From the looks of things it won't be soon. I encourage folks to read the Humanist manifest. If they want to practice religion within the parameters given by the Humanist manifest that would not involve any special privileges for what you believe.
The piece is less about what I—or historians—think of the Bible and more about what believers themselves should conclude if they truly put their money where their mouth is.

In many aspects, humanism has already replaced religion. People just are not aware of it yet.
